What would you give up for Chone Figgins?
Slipped into this article is a note about the A's looking into a possible Kouzmanoff-plus for Figgins deal. The infielder is due $26 million through 2013... could Oakland make a sensible deal here?

I’d give up Kouz and Shawn Haviland and Conner Crumbliss. Aka Kouz and two barely prospects

And Oakland takes back all of the money? Not sure I'd do that if I was Billy Beane.
Kouzmanoff only offsets $4.75 million, so the Athletics would basically be taking a flier on Figgins for three years and $21.25 million.
I think that the Mariners would still have to eat $5-6M for that deal to make sense, no? No way in hell that Figgins gets over $21 million in guaranteed money after the way he played last season. Not to mention that Kouzmanoff is actually a pretty solid player, and he’s worth more than $4.75 million.

Figgins had a down 2010 BABIP-wise...
…but even if you plug in his 3-year xBABIP he was only a .314 wOBA guy last year. Kouz actually should have been at .325 and he plays stellar D.

I'd give up Alex Gordon and Mike Aviles.
