The WBC as an audition grounds?
At least that's what Pedro Martinez will use it for according to the latest NY Post article.
The thing about auditioning is you actually need to pitch to do it, and if the Dominican Republic's goal is to win, will they even use him? Where would you place Pedro on the following list of DR SP?
Ervin Santana, Edinson Volquez, Fausto Carmona, Daniel Cabrera, Francisco Liriano, Johnny Cueto, Ubaldo Jimenez, Odalis Perez and Wandy Rodriguez.
