After the Red Sox beat the Rays last night in the American League Division Series, it is apparent that Alex Cora is picking up right where he left off after serving his suspension in the Houston Astros sign stealing scandal. Cora was able to guide his team to sweep the 100-62 Rays, who were the favorite to win the Word Series.
The Red Sox showed no mercy beginning with sending the Yankees packing in the Wild Card Game by a score of 6-2. In the ALDS, they began to show their power beating the Rays in Game 2, 14-6 to tie the series up 1-1. They then took the series lead in Game 3 by winning 6-4 and ending the Rays chances in Game 5 winning 6-5.
Cora is back and leading the Red Sox where he left off before his suspension — hopefully for the Fenway Faithful to another Word Series Championship. Though it is still uncertain who they will play in the American League Championship Series, the Astros lead the ALDS series 2-1 against the White Sox. Whoever wins, watch out in the ALCS because Cora and his Red Sox are ready to show no mercy.
Ready, willing and able.
