Matt Collins | Over the Monster: The Red Sox held on to beat the Rays 6-5 to advance to the ALCS. Kiké Hernández knocked in the game-winning run with a sacrifice fly to left field. The Red Sox will not have home-field advantage against the Astros or the White Sox in the next round.

Cody McCartney | Talking Chop: Atlanta beat the Brewers 3-0 to go up in the series 2-1. Joc Pederson hit his second pinch-hit homer of the series, a three-run shot, to give Ian Anderson and the Atlanta staff all the offense they needed. Evan Longoria hit a solo home run through howling winds, and Camilo Doval recorded a six-out save. The Giants are up 2-1 in the series.
