FanGraphs | Michael Augustine: Tyler Glasnow was great in 2019 and he’s only improving. With his three-pitch arsenal, he could be even more effective in 2020 with more efficient tunneling as well as a fastball that gets a couple of inches more rise, and it could be a key to his success with the Rays.
The Ringer | Michael Baumann: The Red Sox fired Alex Cora in the wake of the widespread sign-stealing scandal. The suspensions and firings really only treat the symptom, though, as possibly at least a third of the league could be implicated over the last few years, and we have no clue if the buck really stops here or it continues into the future with more secrecy.
The Athletic | Keith Law ($): The Twins signed Josh Donaldson to a four-year, $92 million deal, a massive splash for a team in serious AL Central contention. It adds an excellent offensive player and fielder to the mix, and it’s probably the best addition a team can make outside the Gerrit Cole/Anthony Rendon/Stephen Strasburg bunch.
