Where Nolan Arenado could land; Star players with the most trade value; Kris Bryant’s launch angle

MLB: Colorado Rockies at San Francisco Giants Stan Szeto-USA TODAY Sports

MLB.com | Mike Petriello, TR Sullivan, & Anne Rogers: Nolan Arenado could very well be on the move, but what landing spots make the most sense? The Rangers are in need of a third baseman even though they technically signed Todd Frazier, and they in theory could offer Nick Solak, Kolby Allard, or others. The Cardinals could also look to make splash, and they would probably have to sacrifice Harrison Bader, Matthew Liberatore, and/or Dakota Hudson. The Braves as well could try, yet they could give up Ender Inciarte or Ian Anderson, to name a couple.

FanGraphs | Craig Edwards: A lot of players could be traded, though, like Mookie Betts, Arenado, Kris Bryant, and Francisco Lindor. Of those, who has the highest trade value? It’s stated as a poll, and one has to consider the length of contract remaining, surplus value, and even Arenado’s opt-out, but I recommend you vote.

Baseball Prospectus | Matthew Trueblood ($): Speaking of Bryant, the Cubs have really relied on his launch angle in an odd way. He’s had fewer fly balls given his 10th highest launch angle, but he also has a very high BABIP because of the grounders that squeak through because of the way they’re hit. It’s fair to wonder whether that BABIP sustains considering he doesn’t show the signs of a traditional BABIP guy, but it’ll be a necessary skill if he doesn’t harness the power he had a few years ago.
