Morning Mound Visit: Trades galore

New, comment

It’s beginning to look a lot like trade deadline season

Joshua Deimert | Pinstripe Alley: The Yankees made the deal of the day, acquiring star outfielder Joey Gallo and relief pitcher John King from the Rangers for a prospect haul so big it would need an Uber XL. Additionally, the Yankees were able to get their man without going over the CBT.

Ethan Budowski | Fish Stripes: The Marlins sent center fielder Starling Marte to the Athletics for Jesús Luzardo in a rare one for one deal. While the A’s get an impact player on both sides of the ball, the Marlins look to have a scary starting rotation in 2022.

Wick Terrell | Red Reporter: The Reds added their third bullpen arm in two days when they acquired Mychal Givens from the Rockies just one day after acquiring Luis Cessa and Justin Wilson from the Yankees.
