Alex Hall | Athletics Nation: The A’s traded for reliever Andrew Chafin on Monday. Chafin has a 2.67 FIP through 39 13 innings this season. In exchange, the A’s are sending outfielder prospect Greg Deichmann and right-handed pitcher Daniel Palencia.

Al Yellon | Bleed Cubbie Blue: Andrew Chafin isn’t likely to be the last Cub traded this year. Kris Bryant, Anthony Rizzo, and Javier Baez are all in the final year of their contracts and all could be available. That’s far from a certainty, however.

Max Rieper | Royals Review: What do the three best teams in the National League have in common? Well, they all play in the NL West, and they’re all interested in acquiring Danny Duffy. The Giants, Dodgers, and Padres could all be vying for the Duffman’s services this week.
