JT Law | Bless You Boys: Spencer Turnbull no-hit the Mariners on Tuesday night. It was the fifth no-hitter in MLB and the second time the Mariners have been kept hitless this season. It is May 19.

Christian Romo | Amazin’ Avenue: Kevin Pillar is apparently in good spirits after getting hit directly in the face with a fastball. The Mets outfielder was perhaps lucky to only suffer multiple nasal fractures. He’ll see a plastic surgeon to repair the damage and he’ll be able to return 10-14 days after surgery.

Ben Clemens | FanGraphs: What exactly makes a good slider? Movement? Velocity? Location? Movement and Velocity? Movement and Location? Velocity and Movement? Movement, Velocity, and Location?

Eric Stephen | Halos Heaven: Mike Trout was added to the 10-day IL Tuesday. He exited Monday night’s game with a calf strain, and now, the Angels expect Trout to be out for 6-8 weeks.

Quick Hits

Luis Castillo is back. The struggling righty struck out 11 including eight in the first three innings. More importantly, his velocity ticked back up as his fastball averaged 97.7 mph.

Baseball Savant

Shohei Ohtani hit another bomb.
