Al Yellon | Bleed Cubbie Blue: Ryan Tepera received a three-game suspension for throwing behind Brandon Woodruff. MLB concluded that Tepera intentionally threw at Woodruff. Cubs manager David Ross has also received a one-game suspension.

Justin Choi | FanGraphs: Since coming out of nowhere in 2018, we’ve gotten used to Max Muncy just generally being excellent. This may not be his final form, however. Max Muncy has always had a disciplined approach, but his eye is on another level right now.

Michael Baumann | The Ringer: Speaking of players that came out of nowhere, Shane Bieber wasn’t supposed to be one of the best pitchers on the planet, but here we are. Who will be the next to rise from middling prospect to perennial Cy Young contender?
