Jaymes L | Brew Brew Ball: Someone finally signed Jackie Bradley Jr. and that someone is the Milwaukee Brewers. The elite defender received a two-year deal worth $24 million with an opt-out after the first year. The Brewers had a slight edge in the mediocre NL Central, and now they’ve gotten a bit better.

Eric Fayuelle | Purple Row: After trading Nolan Arenado, the Rockies were supposed to set their sights on extending Trevor Story, but predictably, they haven’t gotten much traction in that department. According to Jon Heyman, the Rockies don’t have the budget for any big signings which is weird because they haven’t signed a single guaranteed major league contract in either of the past two offseasons.

Rob Mains | Baseball Prospectus $: Last month, Rob Mains argued that the Times Through the Order penalty is worse than we thought because the aggregate numbers include pitchers who weren’t performing well enough to make to the third time through. He and Shawn Brody have continued the research, looking at how well pitchers fared against each lineup spot a second and third time.
