Max Rieper | Royals Review: The Kansas City Royals acquired Andrew Benintendi from the Red Sox in a three-team trade involving the Mets on Wednesday night. The Red Sox received Franchy Cordero and two players to be named later from KC and one PTBNL from New York. The Mets received Khalil Lee from the Royals.

Russell Carleton | Baseball Prospectus: Minor leaguers are often put in a position to fail. Getting paid below a living wage leads to food insecurity and poor sleep hygiene, two things which can compound stress. Stress impairs cognitive functions and can adversely affect performance. With minimal financial investment, teams can improve their player development and the general livelihood of their players.

Ben Clemens | FanGraphs: FanGraphs’ playoff odds are live, so if you’re a fan of the Rays or the A’s or uh, anyone in the NL Central, and PECOTA rankled you, good news, there’s something else to be mad at.
