Andrew Baggarly | The Athletic $: According to a report from Andrew Baggarly, Buster Posey plans to announce his retirement after 12 seasons in the majors. Posey will end his career with three World Series rings, a Rookie of the Year, an NL MVP, four Silver Slugger awards, seven All-Star Appearances, and a Gold Glove.

Sanford_and_Son | Lookout Landing: Yusei Kikuchi declined his player option, making him a free agent. Kikuchi’s option was worth $13 million, but the lefty wanted a chance to be a MLB starter. He wasn’t guaranteed to get that opportunity in Seattle. Kikuchi had a 4.61 FIP in 157 innings this year and looked much shakier in the second half.

Mark Polishuk | MLB Trade Rumors: Meanwhile, the Phillies declined their club options on Andrew McCutchen and Odúbel Herrera, so the pair of outfielders will become free agents. McCutchen hit for a .335 wOBA this year, while Herrera turned in just a .300 mark.
