Blue Jays get better; Mets fire their GM; Brian Bannister’s philosophy

Matt Kelly | MLB.com: After coming up short on DJ LeMahieu and others, the Blue Jays signed George Springer to a six-year, $150 million deal.

Deesha Thosar | New York Daily News: Mets general manager Jared Porter was fired Tuesday morning after ESPN reported that Porter had sexually harassed a woman reporter via 62 text messages. Porter wasn’t the only person in MLB harassing women, and he won’t be the last.
