FanGraphs | Justin Klugh: Free agency has generally been better, but players like Marcell Ozuna, who had to settle for a one-year deal, had a rougher go of it. Yasiel Puig fits in a similar boat, but like Ozuna, could fit on any number of rosters, especially a bottom-dweller. For a very low price you get veteran presence and a solid performer, and would be a bright spot in any rebuilding team’s year (that actually counts for something).
The Athletic | Cliff Corcoran ($): Rob Manfred has tried to cut down on the pace of play, and one rule change coming is for a three-batter minimum for pitchers. While that sounds good in practice, it in fact doesn’t change the time of game much, it also could seriously impact games where the pitcher is off his game and has to face two more batters, especially in high leverage situations.
