FanGraphs | Ben Clemens: Paul Goldschmidt was having an incredibly disappointing start to his season and his Cardinals career, only to rebound in the second half when he switched up his mechanics, put the ball in the air, and started attacking more balls in the middle of the zone.

Tangotiger Blog | Kristen Austin: This is an excellent blog post version of a SaberSeminar presentation on players who “try” and “abandon” plays in the field. This gives even more detailed information on fielding, and whether a player actually tries to make a play surprisingly tells us a great deal about catch probability and their abilities.

Baseball Prospectus | Matthew Trueblood ($): Matt looks at the overall shape of offensive production in 2019 to determine who is “good” or “not good” based on the current environment, like Jorge Soler, David Bote, and Manny Machado.
