FanGraphs | Justin Klugh: Justin Upton will play in 2020 alongside the best player in baseball in Mike Trout, and soon a new outfielder stud in Jo Adell. Upton was once a stud on his own merits but has since declined, so he’s looking to have a bounce-back year in what could be the twilight of an excellent career.

Baseball Prospectus | Matthew Trueblood ($): Mookie Betts might seem attractive as a trade target, but what about Starling Marte? Marte is another player his home team is looking to deal, and likely won’t require the same prospect package. His plate discipline is also much improved, and if that change is “real,” he could be one of the more valuable players available this offseason.

The Athletic | Ken Rosenthal ($): The Yankees, among others, are starting to meet with free agents Stephen Strasburg and Gerrit Cole. Cole seems to be a focus for the Yankees, who failed to acquire him on multiple occasions but are looking to persuade him to choose a team that isn’t “west of Nevada.”
