FanGraphs | Craig Edwards: This was the slowest offseason in memory, so did signing date have an effect on performance so far? No, and the average player under-performed significantly regardless of signing early or late.

Bill James Online | Mark Simon: Who are the “movers and shakers” among pitchers this year? The most improved in ranking are certainly Gerrit Cole, James Paxton, and Aaron Nola, and those dropping are Clayton Kershaw, Madison Bumgarner, and Jake Arrieta.
