FanGraphs | Craig Edwards: The Nationals made a curious move by trading Tanner Roark and then signing Anibal Sanchez, but it could work out: for less money and with a possibly higher ceiling, the Nats may get a better pitcher than Roark with less (and deferred) money attached.

Baseball Prospectus | Rob Arthur ($): The United States and Cuba now have an official posting agreement a la Korea and Japan, which should open the door to more Cuban players in the near future. It’s pretty crazy considering that Cuban position players have produced 145 WAR despite the severe restrictions, and that is sure to increase as the talent pool will once again expand in MLB.

The Athletic | Eno Sarris ($): What will the aging curve look like for Manny Machado and Bryce Harper? Some would say that Machado playing a premier position works in his favor, but he still lacks some speed and athleticism while Harper has a batted ball profile that generally favors a gentler aging curve.
