FanGraphs | Jeff Sullivan: He’s not Bryce Harper, but Andrew McCutchen is going to help the Phillies a lot. He’s not perfect, and he can’t be the only piece along with Jean Segura to come over, but he aligns with their goals as of late, as well as affording them enough payroll space for Harper.

Baseball Prospectus | Doug Thorburn ($): We’re back to assessing pitcher mechanics, so it shouldn’t be a surprise that when looking at Craig Kimbrel vs. Adam Ottovino, the former has an excellent reputation in that regard, while the latter, while still great in 2018, still has to prove he can be consistent over a multi-year period.

The Athletic | Eno Sarris ($): Gambling on baseball is legal, so what if we put ZiPS projections up against Vegas for 2019? You’d find teams that are pretty underrated, like the Mets, Pirates, and Padres. While they likely aren’t going to win the World Series, their nearly insurmountable Vegas odds are probably a stretch given their actual on-the-field talent, and also based on possible additions they will make.
