FanGraphs | Carson Cistulli: Carson is moving on to greener pastures, taking a role with the Blue Jays pro scouting department, and say hello to Meg Rowley, new managing editor at FanGraphs! Looking forward to seeing her at the top of the masthead.

Baseball Prospectus | Matt Collins ($): Miguel Sano was not great in 2018, both for his on-field disappointments, both with performance and injury, and also because of his run-in with the law and alleged sexual violence, which is altogether awful. Fantasy-wise, though, there could be some use for him as a buy-low candidate, as his track record as a young-enough hitter with power is still a useful commodity.

The Athletic | Eno Sarris ($): Christian Yelich won the NL MVP, and it was by hitting the ball on the ground better than any hitter since 2002. He didn’t really need to hit the ball in the air more, as he focused on hitting the ball hard—period—and focusing on pitches that are in his sweet spot.
