FanGraphs | Craig Edwards: So, Jhoulys Chacin has a platoon and match-up problem. He is significantly worse against left-handed hitters, and the Dodgers have a lot of hitters that can hit right-handers. And considering they hit sliders particularly well, and Chacin’s slider percentage has climbed, it usually sets up a bad scenario. Luckily, though, he worked around it! He pitched 5 1⁄3 innings of scoreless ball, because of and not in spite of his slider. What do we know?
