Yesterday, the Hall of Fame threw a shutout. According to the Hall of Stats, this ballot had 14 candidates who could easily be seen as Hall-worthy. That list doesn't even include David Wells, Fred McGriff, Bernie Williams, Dale Murphy, Don Mattingly, Jack Morris, and Lee Smith—players who don't rate as Hall of Stats-worthy, but have cases that are either close or popular.
And nobody got in.
Here's what we're looking at next year:
