Strasburg Needs Tommy John Surgery: Mark Prior 2.0?
Adam Kilgore of the Washington Post is reporting that Nationals ace and pitching god Stephen Strasburg will "probably" miss 12 to 18 months in order to recover from Tommy John surgery. The right-hander has a tear in his ulnar collateral ligament, and this is the second straight season in which the team has lost a stud rookie pitcher to TJS, as Jordan Zimmermann had a similar procedure done last summer. Hopefully Strasburg's rehab goes as well as Zimmermann's did, though. And I think I speak for pretty much every baseball fan out there when I say that this really, really sucks.
