According to Dr. Elliott, if you were to take two pitchers who both throw 93mph and over a month time Pitcher A went out and ran 3 miles, 3 days a week and Pitcher B sat on the couch eating Pringles and playing XBOX, Pitcher B will end up being more powerful and maintain his 93mph after a month where as Pitcher A will actually lose MPH and power.
