I contributed a guest column at the other site of fellow SBN blogger Eric Simon, Mets Geek, this piece focusing on the Top Ten Mets' Pitcher Seasons by SNLVAR. Well, sort of:
Since four of the top five seasons belong to Tom Seaver (and five of ten) I am going to discuss the production of the first ten names on the Mets' single season SNLVAR list in reverse order. The years in parentheses are the years contained within the list; Rick Reed is the tenth different name to appear within the top Mets' pitching seasons, but his best effort is actually ranked #21 among those seasons.
I actually didn't know much about a few names on the list, and I'm a big fan of a few others, so it was a fun piece to write. Enjoy!
