As previously stated at this site, Martin Gandy of Talking Chop organized an award ballot for the SB Nation network in order to vote for the major awards. First up on the list is the Jackie Robinson Award for the AL and NL. Here are the SB Nation results, followed by my own choices:

My own ballot, which consisted of three votes for each league, went Verlander, Papelbon, Liriano for the AL, and Zimmerman, Ramirez, Willingham for the NL. Except for Willingham's low finish, I'm fairly satisfied with the finishing order. Zimmerman/Ramirez was easily reversable in my mind, although Zimm's defense gave him the edge. A nice first round by the SB Nation voters. I don't really have anything to complain about, although I feel like Uggla may have received a bit too much credit for his play. Look for other award results later on in the coming weeks.
