Granted the link is to a post talking about the Miami Marlins and Oakland A's, but the key is outfielders. In this case, Oakland is looking for young outfielders and Trevor Plouffe and/or Ben Revere might be enough for Billy Beane to pull the trigger. Gio Gonzalez is a lefty pitcher with great upside in the fact he is the staff ace and could perform the same or better at Target Field. At the same time, Oakland wants young outfielders and Plouffe and/or Revere would likely be a good addition to their ballclub.
