I just whipped up this quick graph.
The average was $7.6 million (just about what the Brewers spent).
There are some obvious outliers and then a bunch of teams grouped together. The Red Sox and the Cubs spent a good deal. The White Sox, Cubs, A's, Angels, Mets.....tisk tisk tisk. No excuses to spend that little on amateur talent. As for you Dodgers, I'll give you a small break.
