Possible explanations for the 2011 offensive spike so far
- Small sample size.
- Early games being played in more hitter-friendly parks.
- Quality of pitching hasn't been as good with some key guys on the DL.
- Change in batter and/or pitcher approach.
- Change in equipment.

Anyway, I’m too lazy and lack the analytical chops to investigate these, but those are the possibilities I could think of. What else have we got?
