Don't let 2010 fool you, 2004-2009 should be very clear.
And yet, he still brings more pop to the lineup than anyone Baltimore had last year except for Luke Scott.

Orioles are my surprise pick
unfortuntely, they have to surprise pretty big to be in playoff contention in the tough AL East.
To win more games than likely expected.
They had the fourth best record in all of baseball from Aug 1st til end of season. And they have likely improved their roster. Good times in Baltimore.

A bad GM can make bad moves and still improve the team, if only marginally.
Yes, technically Betancourt is better than Tony Pena Jr and it upgraded the Royals when DM made the move. But we all hopefully know that judging an acquisition doesn’t end on whether the team marginally improved or not.
