Only 75 pitchers have reached 50.

Pretty damn impressive. Mariano Rivera will pass 50 this year, becoming the first reliever to do so. Mo’s won some pennants though, I believe…

I marvel at Ichiro

50 WAR in 10 seasons with a skillset involving running fast, hitting singles, and playing tremendous defense. Just awesome.

Actually, it's only been nine seasons.

Which makes it that much more impressive.

If you told me that a guy with his lack of power and patience who spent most of his career in right field would have that kind of run, well, I just wouldn’t believe you.

Craig Calcaterra touched on this today, but I think that Ichiro has locked up his status as a Hall of Famer by qualifying with his tenth MLB season.

Halladay

He’s the only one on the list with no postseason appearances at all.

I think it's pretty likely that ends this year

Unless, like, the Braves win the division and one of the non-favorites in the other divisons (like the Dodgers, Reds, or Cubs) comes up with a big [lucky] season.
