Francisco Liriano came back from Tommy John surgery averaging 90.9mph with his fastball as a starter. That climbed to 91.6 a year ago, and through two starts so far in 2010, he's up above 93. Seems those offseason reports of higher velocity were correct. He's not back, and he likely never will be, but this is nevertheless a significant step forward.
