Spring Cleaning - Graph of the Day – HOF Careers Stopped by Injury
I have several article/projects I began previously, but never published/finished. This week I will publish several as I don't see myself going back to them to finish them to original level I wished. I was thinking of just deleting them, instead I am hoping someone may find the work useful.
A comment on a Royals message board stated that Bo Jackson was a first ballot Hall of Famer if he hadn't been side lined by injuries. While that statement is completely untrue, heck Zack Greinke accumulated more WAR last season than Bo did in his career, there were some hitters who were on place for HOF career when injuries cut that short. Here are how Bo and 5 other injury prone hitters compare to other Hall of Famers:

Bo Jackson disappoints,
and Scott Rolen surprises. Who knew?

I'm not totally surprised.
He was an elite player for a pretty long time.
I like baseball.

Even with injuries, Rolen has a very legit argument for HoF.
And he’s not done yet. As a Reds fan, I’m hoping for another 6 WAR season. :)

I'm just rooting for him because I like the idea of having as many guys that I've watched in person
in the Hall as possible. Plus, he’ll actually deserve it. Now I’m just hoping for some kind of rebound from Andruw Jones. I really hope he gets in.

Who knew about Rolen?
Well anyone who paid attention to baseball should have known about how good Rolen was with the Phils and then with the Cardinals until his freak injury at firstbase.
He was the best hitting 3rd baseman (before A-Rod moved over) and the best defensive player at 3rd for many years.
