Who would you rather have?

I'm having a slightly hard time trying to figure out who I would rather have on my real life team. You could even go at this for who is better if you want to take it that way.

Then I figured, I would ask some of my friends who use advanced stats on a daily basis and some of them haven't given me an answer, so I'm coming to you guys.

I'm also going to attach a poll that way its easier to just pick a vote in case you don't have an actual reason between these 2...so which one is it?

Matt Kemp or Justin Upton? Why?

It's tough to really choose between the two

unless you’re factoring in time under team control. Upton has an extra year before he’s eligible for arbitration and then hits free agency, so presumably that would be enough to outweigh any potential argument in favor of Kemp.

They’re both clearly elite outfielders going forward though, so either way you’re talking about a 4 or 5+ WAR player.
