Pitching prospects who might be keepers

Applying my filter/bias to minor leaguers .... 29 pitchers made the cut. The bias? Strike throwing ground ball pitchers who miss bats and suppress home runs (is that too much to ask for?).

That's a very interesting collection of arms.

I wonder, though, (and I’m not sure IRC), but is HR per flyball/linedrive a repeatable skill? I seem to remember hearing somewhere that HR/FB and the sort is really a product of random variation (in most cases). I may be wrong though…

No, I don't think it is

If you go back to the article and click thru to the MLB portion, I mention that, and my reservations about using the metric. When I do rv100e I regress HR/FB and HR/LD 100% to league average.
