Last Call for BtB Sabermetric Writing Award Nominations
Today is the last day to submit and second nominations for the BtB Sabermetric Writing Awards. Here are links to each of the nomination threads:
1. Best Novel Sabermetric Research Article or Project
2. Best Applied Sabermetric Research Article or Project
3. Best Sabermetric Primer or Review Article/Series
4. Best Sabermetric Commentary Article
5. Best Sabermetric Researcher or Writer
6. Best Sabermetric Writing or Research Website
7. Best New Online Sabermetric Resource
We could particularly use additional nominations in the Best Applied Research, Best Writing/Research Website, and Best New Online Resource categories.

but i nominate devil fingers’s post on catcher defense for “Best applied research article”
Vote to get down to a two-three candidates, then a private vote among BtB members.
In instances of a conflict of interest, a non-BtB member of the SABR community will be brought in for consultation/vote replacement.
(I think that’s what we decided, anyway)

No, the vote is 50% community, 50% internal (internal = tiebreaker)
We decided to do that so that the community would have direct say in who wins the award, while we still get to maintain some ownership over the awards outcome.
