A Quick Thought About Ichiro, Derek Jeter, and Pete Rose
It took Derek Jeter about 6,350 at-bats to reach 2,000 career hits. Pete Rose nearly amassed 6,500 at-bats before reaching the threshold.
Ichiro took a few less than 6,000 at-bats before recording hit number 2,000.

Well let me be the one to point out the obvious.
Ichiro has a .330 avg and I’m no baseball expert(or am I?) but a .330 avg. is higher than a .315 or a .305ish average.
And now a scene from seinfeld
ELAINE: [mind] Who does this guy think he is?
KEITH: [mind] I'm Keith Hernandez.

Anyone want to place bets
On whether Ichiro reaches 3000 hits as an MLB player?
I say he will.
He is a first ballot HOFer right now.

we could
debate on the merits, but as far as “fame” goes, a first ballot is quiet likely.

My guess is one of the three gentlemen mentioned in the post would take that wager
I wonder which one it would be… hmmm… .which would it be…

I'd go with Jeter
I bet he’s impossible to keep out of the off-track betting…that guy has always seemed like a shady character.
