Yeah, awkward title. Decided to compare the Red Sox years of the careers of the players who had their numbers retired by the Sox.

But, Yaz had the best season.
Which is why some fans put him before The Kid when ranking them. Also, it kinda shows how the rest are pretty overrated – Cronin had his retired because of his managing, I guess, and Fisk was a LOT better with the White Sox. Pesky would’ve been better represented if I put 3 seasons even with his last season before going off to war (so would Ted, I guess).

how Dewey would stack up. If their is one player who should join the Sox retired numbers its dewey and his number 24.
