Consider this a plea for people to do more of it. Are you a fan of a team that's out of playoff contention? Figure out some fair trades for your biggest trading chips. Enjoying Dave Cameron's series on trade value at Fangraphs? Calculate what some of the players are actually worth. It would all be interesting to read at your blog, but this research would make great FanPost fodder here at BtB, too.

not sure if anyone is still paying attention here, but...

I thought I’d post the Orioles’s players who have been rumored to be dealt:

Luke Scott: $15.5 M
Jeremy Guthrie: $10.7 M *
Ty Wigginton: $3.9 M
George Sherrill: $3.7 M
Aubrey Huff: -$0.6 M
Melvin Mora: -$5.0 M
Danys Baez: -$5.8 M

This is a sad bunch besides Scott. The asterisk denotes my belief that Guthrie isn’t actually hurt, but I wouldn’t be surprised given his velocity decrease recently.

Why anyone really wants Baez is beyond me.
