This week's Poor Man's Projected Season Standings show significant tightening in the AL West, a decline in the play of the NL East, and a wild card free-for-all in the Senior Circuit.

And now the standard disclaimer:

These are based on Justin's Power Rankings. They are not meant to accurately predict how the remainder of the season will actually unfold.  Things like injuries, timely hitting, teams playing each other, and just plain old chance can cause major fluctuations in these results. So take them with a grain of salt.

Onto the projections!

I can’t say agree with the Blue Jays doing as well as you have them, they’re pitching (other than Halladay) is too unpredictable. Also, I think the Angels will pull away from the Rangers, especially if Lackey remembers he’s in a contract year and has a great second-half.

Can you spot the five guys NOT in the Hall of Fame? It's easy, I separated 'em for ya. :)

Here's the full post about guys elected to the Hall of Fame primarily for their defense. Guys like Brooks Robinson, Ozzie Smith, Bobby Wallace, John Ward, and Bid McPhee stand up as definite HOFers, with many others worthy of debate (and a couple aren't worth any debate at all).

I almost made it through the whole post without comparing some HOFers to our friends Bill Dahlen, Lou Whitaker, Bobby Grich, Alan Trammell, and Ron Santo. Almost.
