Top High School Pitchers For June MLB Draft (Video)
As Erik's harped on, there's a ton of risk in the MLB draft, even with first round picks. That risk is magnified for high school pitchers. The video beyond the link is two minutes of high school pitching prospect analysis, complete with video footage.
Watching these kids pitch and the hitters they're facing, it becomes obvious why you can't count on any high school player to be a major leaguer. It's high school. I'm not big into scouting, but I really enjoyed this video, if just for the perspective of what we're actually talking about with young prospects and draft picks.

ffwiw, almost all of the videos are shot
at showcases, where they bring in the top hs hitting prospects, to the competition is more even than you might have initially thought.
this could be a real funky first round, as it is extremely pitching heavy, with high school and college pitchers.
college hitters, which is normally the safest group, are extremely thin as a group this year. Down year for HS hitters it seems as well.
