Graph of the Day: Recent Pitchers In (or Nearly In) the 300 Win Club
Bill James and Joe Posnanski had an email exchange recently about where Randy Johnson stands in historical context, especially when compared to the other pitchers that reached 300 wins in the 2000s, Glavine,Clemens and Maddux. Here is a comparison of their WAR seasons over their careers along with their lifetime numbers. Short of the whole PED accusations, all four look Hall of Fame bound.
| Name | WAR |
| Clemens, Roger | 128.3 |
| Maddux, Greg | 96.7 |
| Johnson, Randy | 91.8 |
| Glavine, Tom | 67.2 |
| Average HOF Pitcher | 68.4 |
