This is my most recent Driveline post that I think some of you might find interesting. I'm not sure what the "data" points to -- I simply adjust for "position" and take the value of the player contracts and see what wOBA they need to have over the full season to earn their dough. Discussion over there would be helpful, as I'm not quite sure how to think about pre-arb/arb years versus FA dollars beyond applying the general 40/60/80 general rule -- $3.2M is $3.2M from the perspetive of the team budget, right? Also, I might have gotten some of my estimates wrong, so any advice would be nice on that score, too.
