I'm looking for some feedback on these graphs that I have developed. I've gone through several iterations on these and I think I'm getting closer to having something that is useful.
I go into detail about the process for creating these at Red Reporter. I'd appreciate any feedback that you can give. Thanks!

Very cool
I’d suggest nkSLG or slugging in play (what’s Colin’s new acronym?) and toss the 3rd strikes from the bottom left. That’s a small nit pick, though.
yeah, there are several things that I have gone back and forth on these
and that’s one of them. My concern was that the slugging percentages would look out of whack, but then that only mattered back when I was listing the slugging percentage on the graph. Since these new versions are all just colors, it probably makes sense to stick with balls in play.

As we've discussed here before
the swinging/called third strike stuff is very interesting on its own, too.

Wow these are really cool.
I think that a scale on each of the four subpanels would be nice if possible. I have actually just done something very similar in my most recent Baseball Analysts post. But I average over all hitters.
I wish I could do a scale for each
but each zone within each subpanel has it’s own scale. This is because these graphs look at individuals compared to the group of similar players per pitch zone. Each zone has different average results, as you would expect, so the scale ends up being different for each pitch zone bucket.

The more I look at these, the more I like that you're re-averaging for each zone.
Instead of seeing that someone doesn’t make good contact everywhere, we can see where his relative strengths and weaknesses are, which is really what we want to know.
