No Beltran?
Fangraphs pegs his 2006 at 74 RAR.

Again, I grabbed this data before the recent UZR upgrades, so guys will be off by a few runs.
Since we should be assuming reasonable error bars with the data anyway, I’m ok posting these last few graphs I’d already made and then switching to the upgraded data.
Beltran is good.

I'd be interested to see the demise of Andruw Jones
in recent years in graph form.

that's a good idea
Sky, chop chop! The standard here is new graphics within four minutes of a comment. Let’s go. You’ve got 1 minute left.

Ok, done. But I'm saving it for a GotD because of your attitude.

I went and looked at the chart already.

It's incorrect. You've been baited.

Surprised
That Jim Edmonds 2004 season is not on this graph.

Fangraphs has Edmonds at 83 RAR in 03
Did the UZR change that much? Never mind, his ARM that year was 11.5!!!

Jim Edmonds had the best outfield arm in baseball from 02-05
It helped his defensive value quite a bit

Magglio's 2007 has to be one of the biggest flukes ever.
by JI on Feb 25, 2009 3:55 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
I would call a near .400 BABIP a fluke

Why no Bonds seasons?

They are ridiculously awesome and take up like 3 of the top 4 spots.
I’ll have a Bonds-only and ARod-only post at some point.

Does Pujols count as an OF in 03?
He played the majority of his games there.

I didn't realize that...
but indeed, in 02 and 03 he played most of the year in left, putting up WAR values of 6 and 8.9 respectively. So hi 2003 would be a very very close 2nd to Magglio’s 07 on this list.
