Baseball America's Top 100 Prospects for 2009
Who is that Colby Rasmus fellow? I never heard of him before.

Surprised to see Rasmus at 3
But after 1-2 the top prospects are less than spectacular compared to other years. Rasmus is a CF in the Cardinals system who should be a legit 5 tool guy. Great defensive CF, good plate discipline and could be a 30/30 guy in his peak years.
Rasmus had some trouble this year, slumping early on then having a knee injury end his season, just as he was getting things together

And for the record
i know that you know who he is, but felt the little background was necessary for those who might not

Anyone remember the Rasmus love-fest in the Cardinals' round-table discussion I did with Home Run Derby last spring?
Uh, we were a bit wrong on his 2008 contributions.

i believe i was all doom in gloom in that round-table
and the Cardinals won 86 games. I guess I was expecting Pujols’ elbow to implode.

Man, I love Posey but I’m not sure if he belongs in the Top-20 yet. It’s good see some actual Giants prospects make a list of some sort.

Go Rangers
Apparently Beltre was 101 and Main was right behind him, too.
