We Have A Graphs Contest Winner

Congratulations to VictorW, who created the winning entry for our graphs contest.  He'll receive a copy of The Hardball Times 2009 Annual, chocked full of forty articles from excellent authors (including Rob Neyer, Joe Posnanski, John Dewan to name just a few.)  His winning flowchart walks us through scary territory -- the mind of Dusty Baker:

Ouch

This hurts just as bad as Dusty saying Brandon Phillips is the cleanup hitter again this year with his .294/.394 career OBP/SLG against RHP…..

Congrats, VictorW

As you know, I’m a fan

Bringing you more-or-less replacement level analysis and commentary since sometime in 2008.

Hooray!

I’d like to thank Dusty Baker for making this all possible and writing all the jokes himself.

One person isn't a fan of yours...
actually… nothing personal against you goredsnjh…

but that is idiotic …. it’s not even funny – and yes, I’m familiar with the dusty quote about “clogging the bases”…

it’s stupid…. if that was the winner … i can only imagine what a mess of garbage must have been submitted to that contest.

—————

I guess it speaks some of the baseball geek/blog minds.. someone used visio or some visual drawing tool to make fun of dusty baker… what could be better? bust out the monty python and simpsons jokes and we’ll have a party………

Very nice

I think a cross posting to a Cubs blog is also in order (because, as you may remember, in Dusty they Trustied).
