PrintKen Funck wonders what would happen if baseball writers spoke a language that required justification for each verb. The language Tuyuca requires the basis of knowledge (assumption, personal knowledge) as part of the verb-ending. Maybe baseball writers should also try E-Prime.
Nick Steiner shows that Bad A.J. (Burnett) looks a great deal like Good A.J. Yankee fans of course disagree but I believe we call that observation bias.
The Nats Blog wonders if signing a ground ball pitcher like Jason Marquis represents foolhardiness for a team with terrible defense. Maybe they trade Adam Dunn to the AL and upgrade the infield defense mid-season?

Wasn't Swisher a regular on that country-music show?
I wouldn’t know— I avoid country like the airborne plague— but I recall some people talking about it a few years ago.

Does Guzman to 2B help that infield defense?
Ian Desmond, by all accounts, is a plus defensive SS. At least the left side of that infield is an awesome defensive combo then.
