The lesson here is that managers apply a higher standard to inexperienced starters than to experienced ones, isn’t it?

You mean for the regular season baseline?
Not really. Just happened to be the sample size up until that point.
Kershaw/Lee/Wolf all had great seasons.
I have no idea if it’s even true in the larger scheme of things. This was like through the first two games of the Divisional Series only.
I wrote about it because the local media made a huge stink about the Dodgers starters lacking experience. Found it hilarious that Kershaw comes up huge in two pivotal games down the stretch, while the offense they left for dead a week ago destroys certified playoff ace™ Chris Carpenter.
Just found it interesting that it was occurring to others teams as well, so I expanded it a bit.
